Financing

A beautiful, lasting bathroom shouldn't have to wait. Flexible monthly-payment options can make your remodel approachable and easy to budget for.

Pay Over Time

Make Your Remodel Approachable

Instead of paying for your entire project up front, financing lets you spread the cost into predictable monthly payments. We'll walk you through the available options during your free consultation so you can choose what works best for your household.

Ways to pay

Five ways people fund a bathroom remodel

We benefit from exactly one of these, so here they all are, described the way we would describe them to a friend. The right answer depends on your equity, your timeline, and how certain you are about paying it back.

Cash or savings

No interest, no application, no lien. The tradeoff is liquidity — draining an emergency fund to finish a bathroom is rarely worth it, and most people underestimate how much cushion they want during construction.

Best when the project fits comfortably inside savings you were not relying on.

Contractor financing

Arranged through a third-party provider at the point of purchase. Convenient, quick to apply for, and often the fastest route to a monthly payment. Terms, rates, and approval come from the provider, not from us.

Best when you want a single, predictable monthly payment without a separate bank process.

Home equity loan or HELOC

Borrowing against equity in your home. Usually the lowest cost of the borrowed options and sometimes carries tax advantages, but it is secured by your house, involves an appraisal, and takes longer to close.

Best for larger projects when you have equity and can wait a few weeks to fund.

Personal loan

Unsecured, so your home is not collateral and funding is fast. Rates are typically higher than home-equity borrowing, and terms are shorter.

Best for mid-sized projects when you would rather not put the house behind the loan.

Credit card

Simple and immediate, and a promotional zero-interest period can genuinely work if you are certain you will clear the balance before it ends. If you are not certain, this is usually the most expensive way to fund a remodel.

Best only for small scopes, or for a promotional period you are confident you can beat.

Before you sign

Six questions to ask any lender

A low monthly payment can hide a long term and a high total cost. These are the questions that surface what an offer actually costs — ask them of any provider, including one we introduce you to.

  • What is the APR, not just the monthly payment?
  • How long is the term, and what does the total cost come to over its full length?
  • Is there a prepayment penalty if I pay it off early?
  • If it is a promotional rate, what happens when the promotion ends — and is interest deferred or waived?
  • Are there origination, application, or closing fees?
  • Is the loan secured against my home?

Boise Bath is a remodeling contractor, not a lender or a credit broker. Final terms, rates, fees, and approval are determined by the financing provider and your application. Nothing on this page is an offer of credit or financial advice — it is general information to help you ask better questions.

Financing questions

Straight answers

Does Boise Bath provide the financing itself?
No. We are a remodeler, not a lender. Financing is arranged through a third-party provider, and the rates, terms, and approval decision are entirely theirs. We are happy to walk you through the options and answer questions about the project side.
Will applying affect my credit?
That depends on the provider and whether they run a soft or hard credit check. Ask before you apply — it is a fair question and any reputable provider will answer it plainly.
Do I need financing approved before you start?
You need a payment plan agreed before work begins, whichever route you choose. That can be financing, savings, or a mix. The payment schedule is written into your agreement either way.
Can I pay part in cash and finance the rest?
Yes, and many people do. Putting savings toward the deposit and financing the balance is a common way to keep the monthly payment comfortable without emptying an account.
Is it cheaper to wait and save up?
Sometimes. If the bathroom is functional and you are remodeling for looks, waiting costs you nothing but time. If there is an active leak or water damage, waiting usually costs more than borrowing does, because the damage keeps spreading behind the wall.
